“The Branch of Biology that deals with the study of cell structure, functions and its organizations is known as Cell Biology”.

As Brick is the unit of Building , the cell is the unit of life as all the organisms are made up of cells. It is structural as well as functional unit of life and organism i.e it carry out the functions of life and also forms structure of organism.Organisms can be  unicellular  (single celled)  or  Multi-cellular ( many celled).

There are two types of cells:

• Prokaryotes
• Eukaryotes
